How I started my day.. (clean eating)Β 

🌿 I have been eating “clean” cutting out processed foods and refined sugar.  

🌿 Yesterday & today I made this smoothie and found it was ACE for KICKING CHOCOLATE CRAVINGS β€οΈπŸ«πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Foods I have cut out:

  • White Potatoes πŸ₯”βŒ
  • Pasta 🍝❌
  • Bread 🍞❌
  • Biscuits πŸͺ, Cakes 🍰, Sweets 🍬 etc❌
  • Sugary Drinks or Artificial Sweeteners ❌
  • White Rice 🍚❌
  • Gluten Crisps ❌
  • Refined sugar ❌
  • Chocolate 🍫❌

( I don’t eat/drink dairy products anyway)

πŸ¦‹ Due to my thyroid condition I do struggle with having sufficient energy & suffer with “brain fog”.  Over the last couple of years I had slipped into a poor diet & was feeling sluggish and weak as a result.

🌸 This decision is not based on weight loss as I am actually happy with my body BUT I’M REALLY UNHAPPY WITH HOW MY BODY FEELS INSIDE.  I am suffering with joint pain sluggishness and the heavier my body is the weaker I become.

So I thought I would document & share my new ‘clean eating’ habits & results.

This is how I started my day today.  I am home so had some time to put a smoothie together. 

I had my medication and supplements with plenty of πŸ‹Lemon WaterπŸ’§.

Lemon water has definitely become a winner for me, helping with energy levels, and I think digestion. Ideally I drink with bottled filtered water, but tap water is tolerable with lemon for me. πŸ‹πŸŒΏ

πŸ™πŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ I did some yoga and followed that with this delicious smoothie. 🍌 I included some cocoa powder as I have been craving chocolate and didn’t want to be temped to buy sugary processed chocolate. ❌🍫

Morning Smoothie:

  • 1 Banana 🍌
  • Handful of frozen berries (red and blue)
  • Half an avocado 
  • Almond Milk πŸ₯›
  • 1 Scoop vanilla protein powder 
  • 1 spoonful cocoa powder 


Since making these changes I have noticed these winning results:

βœ… Increased energy

βœ… No bloating

βœ… No sluggishness

βœ… Feel full WITHOUT bloating or sluggishness.

βœ… Decreased appetite

βœ… Much Less cravings for salty & sweet foods

βœ… Weight Loss

βœ… Tummy feels flatter

βœ… Better mood

βœ… Feeling more positive

βœ… Improved cognitive processing 

βœ… Less Brain Fog

βœ… Less Joint Pain

βœ… Better concentration & Productivity 

βœ… Emotionally calmer
